Plane piece falls outside Miami mall; no one hurt

<div id="subtitle">Panel from cargo plane falls outside suburban Miami mall; no injuries or property damage</div><div><p>A 17-foot-long panel fell from a cargo plane and landed outside a suburban Miami mall Friday morning, authorities said. No one was hurt.</p><p>It happened as an Atlas Air flight en route from Santiago, Chile, was starting its descent about 11:30 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said.</p><p>The panel landed in front of a Dillard's department store at the Miami International Mall, said Christina Baguer, a spokeswoman for the city of Doral, the suburb where it happened.</p><p>Jorge Tadeo told The Miami Herald he was sitting in a car in the parking lot when the piece landed.</p><p>"There was a loud thunder and it looked like something that blew off a truck or something," Tadeo said. "It fell over a tree and it blew into the parking lot."</p><p>No property was damaged and the plane landed safely, Baguer said.</p><p>The FAA was investigating.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=68523943&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
