NM contractor to work on Spaceport America

<div id="subtitle">New Mexico awards flight apron contract to local construction company</div><div><p>A New Mexico construction company has been selected by the state Spaceport Authority to work on the flight apron at the Spaceport America site in southern New Mexico.</p><p>The Spaceport Authority's board of directors reviewed proposals from several contractors before choosing David Montoya Construction Inc.</p><p>The $5.75 million apron project includes all the surfaces around the terminal hangar facility that connect to the runway and other infrastructure at Spaceport America.</p><p>The construction company also is working on the spaceport's 10,000-foot-long runway. It is expected to be complete by late summer with the terminal hangar facility projected to be done by early 2011.</p><p>Spaceport Authority executive director Steve Landeene says construction is moving along on schedule.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=66102085&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
