<div id="subtitle">A look at toy makers Hasbro and Mattel's 4th-quarter earnings</div><div><p>Hasbro, the second-largest U.S. toy maker, reported Monday that its fourth-quarter profit rose 77 percent, helped by sales of boys' toys like Transformers and Nerf.</p><p>At No. 1 U.S. toy seller Mattel Inc., which reported on its fourth quarter last month, profit jumped 86 percent as Barbie sales surged and the company cut costs.</p><p>Here's how the top two toy makers' fourth-quarter results stack up.</p><p>_ PROFIT:</p><p>Hasbro: Up 77 percent to $165.6 million, or $1.09 per share</p><p>Mattel: Up 86 percent to $328.4 million, or 89 cents per share</p><p>_ REVENUE:</p><p>Hasbro: Up 12 percent to $1.38 billion</p><p>Mattel: Up 1 percent to $1.96 billion</p><p>_ TOP PRODUCTS:</p><p>Hasbro: Transformers, Nerf, Play-Doh, Tonka</p><p>Mattel: Barbie, Hot Wheels</p><p>_ OUTLOOK:</p><p>Hasbro expects sales and earnings per share to grow this year.</p><p>Mattel did not give specific guidance.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=68706337&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
